Worst Veterinarian I have ever been to. They are NOT equipped to deal with emergencies. They were a major contributing factor in the death of my animal.

If you need emergency help at odd hours, I strongly recommend making the drive up to Ithaca for assistance. This hospital is either incompetent or ill equipped to handle a crisis, and worst of all they are NOT upfront about their lack of capacity. Please, do not take your animal here in the case of an emergency.

Very, very unhappy with their services. After sending my cat there twice and spending over a grand only to have him get worse. Went to my normal vet (closed on the weekends) to spend more money on a problem, that more then likely should have been fixed the first time. Very disappointed.

This place will cost you your first born child And is the most expensive vet in the area. The waiting time are also extremely long. If you need a vet I would recommend calling around and only use this for the emergency service. The vets also receive commissions on medicines that may not be nessary so do your research first.

In addition to this blatant and negligent lack of transparency, the vet technicians were the most incompetent that I have ever encountered. When I went back to visit my dog, the veterinary technician "assigned" to my animal had no idea what the status was on his condition. Further, my dog was brought into a room with me, and taken off his IV's and insulin drip. The Vet Tech's claimed that they would hook him back up in the room, but for the totality of the hour, NO vet tech or doctor came in to do so, even after I had asked vet techs in the hall twice if this could be done.

The doctors, assistants and receptionists have always been very friendly, compassionate and accommodating. I had to put my 13 year old cat to sleep and the process went very well, considering what kind of process this was. They gave me however much time I needed to stay with him before and after. Very caring and compassionate health care professionals. I would recommend them to anyone.

My dog passed away a couple of hours later.

While they were able to induce vomiting, in the morning I received a call that he was not doing well due to complications from his diabetes. I came in at 2 pm for visiting hours. Only after requesting to speak with the doctor, did she inform me that she wanted to refer me to the Cornell Veterinary Hospital, as they would be better able to assist my dog. They did not tell me this information when they called me at 9am that morning, but at 2pm after I specifically requested to speak with a doctor, an opportunity I had only because I came in for visiting hours. This is information that should have been provided to me the moment they took my dog on as a patient, given their knowledge of his medical history, or at the very least, in the morning when I was updated about his condition.

I had been taking my rabbit to a clinic closer to my home. (I also highly recommend that clinic, but this is not a review for them.) After our aged rabbit had to be euthanized, we got two babies. The other clinic didn't spay/neuter rabbits, so we went to Vestal Veterinary Hospital. They did a great job! My boys have healed nicely and are back to being their obnoxious little toddlery selves. Since this place knows our boys, we'll definitely be going there for all their medical needs.

I brought my dog in after he had eaten brownies. Upon arrival, I provided them with a detailed medical history of my animal, including the fact that he is a diabetic who has never been under control. I specifically informed them that his insulin dosage was recently lowered because he had experienced the Somogyi effect. To summarize, they were fully aware of the severity and peculiarity of his diabetes. When they took him on as a patient they acknowledged that there might be complications due to his diabetes, but did not mention anything about a lack of capacity to handle this very serious risk.
