From reading some of the comments here I gather that the Vestal location can do with some improvement. I was given a good price and a nice car. However, I did not interface well with the woman who signed me out when picking up the car. The employee who received me when I returned the car was perfect though, so on balance I have to give the Vestal Enterprise three stars out of five.
I made a reservation online. The process was very smooth. I worked with Peter at the site. He was extremely helpful and the pickup was very fast. I was in and out within minutes. I highly recommend this location.
The above review was from a year or two ago, my latest experience of one week ago was fine. The check out as well as the return. One thing, I made the reservation online a week or two in advance and when I went to pick up the car the computer there had jacked the weekly price up about $150, but the manager fixed it after seeing my confirmation email. All in all a good experience, I will rent there again.
Was rented a 2017 Camry that was covered in dents and scratches. Looked like someone took sandpaper to the side of it. The inside was not clean and after getting into the vehicle to leave I noticed ashes everywhere and someone had smoked in it. I notified the asst manager who said we can swap you out but at that point I had been there an hour and didn't have the time to. When I returned the vehicle I was supposed to recieve a partial refund from my deposit. I checked my online banking the next day and saw that I was charged the amount I was supposed to be refunded for. I called and they told me they did make an error and charged me but they issued a refund for the amount I should have recieved plus the additional charge. They knew about their error and no one ever contacted me about it, I had to contact them. I will never rent from Enterprise again.
When I picked up the vehicle they didn’t have any more cars so I took a van. It was very clean. It has a total of 15,000 miles on it and the change oil “dummy “ light came on. I called the 800# to report it and was advised to stop in my travels to switch car out in another location. That was not possible and I traveled 60 miles to pick the vehicle up initially. I checked the oil. Also inquired as to how tolls were handled as they are now cashless tolling and they mail the bill to the car owner and again the agent on the phone couldn’t advise. When i returned the vehicle told them and all I got was “no worries”
I got prompt, courteous customer service picking up my car and dropping it off, even thought there were several customers waiting to be served when I dropped it off. I loved the car that I rented (Nissan Altima) - it's smooth ride and it's great features, especially for highway driving. The price could have been better but I assumed that was because I rented it during a holiday weekend (did not ask).
